No Parent / Teacher Conferences today, but they will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 tomorrow, Thursday February 13. We will still release early as planned 12:40 and 1:00, but conferences will last until 8:00pm. Primary and Intermediate conferences that were scheduled for today will be rescheduled. The teachers will be contacting you. Remember the league Middle School Basketball tournament is being held at the school tomorrow so the MS and HS teachers will meet in their classrooms. Admission will be charged to attend the basketball games. The board meeting tonight in Rosalia will be held as scheduled.

So families can plan, I am cancelling school for Flinthills for tomorrow. Wednesday February 12. (It better snow!)

Brylee Heimgartner took 1st place in both Persuasive and Informative Speaking, Paige Corter placed 1st in Poetry and 2nd in Prose, Ember Kinning swiped 2nd in Informative Speaking, Garrett Jackson placed 3rd in Prose, and Ari Johnson placed 4th in Poetry. Last Thursday, our Forensics Team brought home a 4th Place Trophy from Medicine Lodge where they missed 3rd place by one point to Great Bend, 2nd to Sterling and 1st to Pratt. Our MIGHTY team of 6 competed against 17 Teams. Brylee placed 1st in Informative and Persuasive Speaking. Ember Kinning placed 4th in Informative, Paige Corter placed 1st in Poetry. This is not a typical week at Flinthills. Parent / Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00, and from 2:00 to 6:00 on Thursday. WE WILL DISMISS SCHOOL EARLY ON THURSDAY! Dismissal will be at 12:40 in Cassoday and 1:00 in Rosalia. Conferences are prescheduled for the Primary and Intermediate students. If you are not scheduled please contact the building office. The Middle School and High School teachers will meet with parents in their classrooms instead of in the lobby as has been done in the past. (There are other events being held at the same time in the building.) There will be NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY OR ON MONDAY, FEB. 17. We are hosting the SCBL Middle School Basketball tournament on Thursday and Saturday. ADMISSION WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE GAMES. We have had a significant amount of sickness recently. Please remember that if a student is ill and running a fever or is vomiting or has diarrhea they must be symptom free for at least 24 hours before returning to school. (If they vomit at school, they must go home and may not come back the next day.) We also have a possibility for inclement weather this week! We will do our best to monitor conditions and let you know if there are cancellations and postponements.
