SAFE Students attending Conference

On December 10 & 11 several members of the Flinthills SAFE team traveled to Wichita to attend the Kansas Teen Safety Conference. Students spent their time at the conference learning about the dangers of distracted driving, the importance of buckling up EVERY time they get in the vehicle, avoiding drinking/marijuana/vaping, and why it's vital that they put their phones down while they're behind the wheel. Education is key to keeping our youth safe, and the tools that they learned at this conference can be used as they return to school and plan activities to educate their peers. The Flinthills SAFE team (Seatbelts Are For Everyone) came home with many ideas to hopefully help them convince their peers to practice safe behaviors both as a drivers as well as the importance of speaking up as a passenger.

SAFE members attending were Taryn Brittian, Cali Crossfield, Cameryn Finley, Yeva Taylor, Skylar Dutton, Katelyn Dutton, Taylor Dutton, Chloe Grabast, Alex Jackson, Emma Daniels and Hanna Hartman.
