K-State Concert Band Clinic
Savannah McCreight, Tabitha Brown, and Laura Scribner attended the K-State Concert Band Clinic in Manhattan on January 24-26. As part of this weekend, they attended a Boston Brass Concert and also heard the K-State Wind Ensemble play alone and with the Boston Brass. There were 727 students attending this from all over the state of Kansas. After their auditions, they were placed in bands and handed the music Friday evening. They had rehearsals, master classes with the college professors, and sectionals on Saturday. On Sunday, they performed.
Laura Scribner was selected as one of the five Outstanding Musicians from her band of over 100 students on Sunday at the K-State Concert Band Clinic. With that, she received a $500 scholarship to attend the K-State Band Camp this summer. Congratulations, Laura!
