Nathan Worrell is Recognized as a "Teacher of Promise" by FHSU

From the Desk of Superintendent Mr. Boldra...

Dear Board and Staff,

I learned this morning that our very own, Nathan Worrell, was recognized this past weekend with a “Teacher of Promise” award.  Apparently FHSU contacted only the candidates, and knowing the humble teacher, Mr. Worrell, he notified no one that he was receiving the award.  Regardless, on behalf of the Board, the administration, and all of the staff, I want to congratulate Mr. Worrell for receiving this award!  He is definitely deserving of the award!

After talking with FHSU this morning, below is what I received from Kerry Schuckman at FHSU:

Two FHSU Students Selected as Teachers of Promise:  Jordynn Gumm, Nathan Worrell

Each Kansas university and college was invited to select two teacher education students to attend the Kansas Teacher of the Year awards banquet.  These students, referred to as Teachers of Promise, also had the opportunity to participate in a professional development workshop conducted by the 2016 Kansas Teacher of the Year Team.  They will enter the teaching profession in the next few years.   - quoted from the teacher of the year program.

Congratulations Mr. Worrell!
