8:20– Come together in the gym for salute and pledge
8:30- 8:50- Morning meeting board and check books in/out of library
8:50-9:30- Math
(Friday Mrs. Simmons- guidance 9-9:30)
9:30-9:45-recess
9:45-10:15–Science/Technology with Mrs. A.
10:20-11:10 – Reading/phonics/spelling centers and groups
1:10-12:00- lunch – recess
12:00–12:20I read to the class or silent read
12:20-12:40 – Music/Art with Mrs. A.
12:40-1:00 – Shared Reading with Ms. Foster
1:00-1:20- P.E. with Miss Thorne
1:20-1:50- Animated Literacy
1:50 – 2:20– Computer Lab/spelling
2:20-2:50– Snack and milk break - S.S.-Science centers

2:45-2:50 - get ready for home –load bus

How to Make a Scarecrow
By the First Grade Class- 2008
Hadley- I would put hay on it. Then I would put on mad eyes. Also put on a turned up hat and scary face. I would set pumpkins around it. Make his hat dirty by putting watermelon juice and pop on it.
Bastian- I’d put hay in the head and in the arms and gloves over
the hands. Then I’d put some legs on it. Then I’d make the clothes
over it and everyday I’d change it into shorts.
Braden- I would make a really, really scary scarecrow that would
scare all the crows. I would make a scary face and scary legs that
has 4 toes, scary body and scary hands and arms. I would make scary
eyeballs and scary hair.
Joey- First, I would put on a hat and make him. Then I would put
his eyes and face and dress and his pants and his chin, and his
shirt. Then put on his arms and his hands and his fingers. I would
put hair. I would put pockets and I would put hair on his back. I
would draw some underwear on him and that would be all.
Janea- You have a stick and put the head on. Then you put the hat
on.
Drew- Use hay and put clothing on him. Put a hat on him. Put eyes on it. Put him in a garden.
Sarah Sorum- You would have to put some hay on it. Then put a hat on it. Then use some yarn for the eyes and mouth. You would put some shoes and posts or wood. You will need a jacket and some clothes, and those shoes should be munchkin shoes. Put some hay on the hat and put the scarecrow by the pumpkins so the crows would not eat the pumpkins. The scarecrow scares the crows away.
Kedryn- Use a stick and a hat, haybales and a shirt.
Kyler- Put a stick on the field. Then put patches on it. Then you
put the hat on it. You put clothes on it. Then put hay inside it.
Then put a bandana on it.
Lucas- I will paint him white. I will put a cowboy hat on his head and cowboy boots on his feet. I will give him a walking stick. He will have six fields around him. He has a great personality!
Kaleigh- I think it is made of straw. It has buttons for its eyes. He has a smile. I would put a coat on him.
Liz- Straw for his hair. I would dress him in old clothes. I would put patches on his old clothes.
Caleb- I would put buttons for the eyes. I would use hay in his arms. Cut out a heart and glue it on his chest.
Savannah- Put arms and a nose on it. Then a head and a body. I
would put a shirt and a skirt on her. It is a girl. She would have
smile. I would use hay to make the body. She would have a hat.
Sarah Hinnen- I would get old clothes. I would get a stick and two
other sticks. Then I would get a hat. I would get five buttons to
make a smiley face and two other buttons to make the two eyes.
Lyndee- I would get some hay or dried grass for his body. A hat for his head. I would dress him in work clothes.
Kenisa- Draw a circle. Make a hat. Draw the arms. Make the feet.
I’d put it by the house.
Kenneth-I would make an eyeball, the body, the hat, the smile and a
tie. Make it in a corn maze. I would make the arms and the pupils
in the eyeballs. I would put a shirt on it. I would make the pants
and the teeth.
