To Kill A Mockingbird conveys the idea that one should stand in another’s shoes instead of being quick to judge. A suitable theme for a high school play, FHS actors stepped out of themselves and into the shoes of the diverse characters living in Maycomb, Alabama in 1935.
Not only did laughter shake the auditorium as Scout appeared in her ham costume, but tears were shed as Tom Robinson was pronounced guilty. Tagging along behind Scout, Jem, and Dill as they learned life’s greatest lessons, one appreciated the simplistic honesty portrayed.
